What Young Flowers Know

Some flowers stretch too far for the sun,
forgetting their roots in the soil below.

They shine for a moment,
brilliant, blinding,
then fade before their time.

They thought light alone was life,
but it was the shade that made them strong,
the rain that taught them to stay.

Not every day is for blooming.
Some are for breathing,
for being.

Even the quiet flowers,
the ones that rest unseen,
are part of the garden’s beauty.
